The following article describes how to change the default page for New Tab (+) in Firefox
- In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config “This might void your warranty!” warning page may appear.
- Click I’ll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.
- Type browser.newtab.url in the search box
- Double-click the browser.newtab.url preference and change the url to about:newtab
- Also search about:config for Conduit/Utorrent preferences. Search for Conduit and Utorrent. If one is found, right-click it and choose reset
I don’t use Utorrent, but what may have happened is that the Utorrent installer also installed Conduit. When you are installing programs, be sure to read and don’t go click happy.
