The zip file “slideShow” can be downloaded. It contains a complete working example of slide show built using only javascript and css. This sample was adopted from a post by Justin W. Hall (http://www.justinwhall.com/directory-jquery-slider/).
The images must follow the naming convention shown in the image below.
The image filename prefix can be changed, ‘slide_’ in this example. The filename prefix is specified in the script which is located in the html file (see the image below).
The extension for images (.jpg, .gif, …) as well as the directory where images are located is specified in the same script.
Finally, the number of images must be specified in the script .
